a new flood takes over a house.
Virus Flood

Sonia hunched over the microscope.

"Amazing." she mused, mostly to herself.

"What's amazing? What you looking at?" Jason asked, stepping through the door way.

"I am not sure." she answered, shrugging her shoulders. "I found it on a leaf."

"Hm.. Maybe it's a new dna?" he wondered.

Sonia stepped away, allowing jason to take a look.

"Maybe." she marvelled.

Suddenly, a man ran through her door in a panic. His face pale as death itself.

"You have to come doctor. My daughter, she is sick."

The chased the man to a house, carrying the microscope in her bag.

As they reached the house, Sonia could see most of brick work were hidden by a layer of vines.

It looked odd, unlike any vine that she had seen before.

"That's a strange vine." she mused. "May I take a sample?"

The man nodded, pulling a part of the vine off the wall.

"How long has it been there?" she asked.

The man was staring at the vine, frowning. "Not long. The vine wasn't like this earlier. The vine barely covered the wall."

Sonia stared at the house. The vine covered most of the house.

"Let's take a look at your daughter then." Sonia said, suddenly remembering the reason for the visit.

They walked inside, Jason following closely behind them.

The house was almost silent. They could hear someone groaning above them.

They climbed the stairs and walked into a dimly lit bedroom.

There was a small girl, covered in purple rash like spots. "That's odd." Sonia mused.

"I saw something simular on a leaf this morning."

The man nodded, "Yes, it's on all of the leaves. The vine is covered with it."

Sonia thought for a moment, "The leaves? All of them?"

The man shrugged his shoulders, "Every leaf on the vine."

Sonia touched a finger tip on the girl's forehead. "Ow!" she yelped, pulling her finger back.

The girl groaned, "I'm sooo hot."

Sonia laughed lightly, "Yes, a virus can be a pest."

Sonia took the sample of the vine, placing it under the mircoscope.

"I think you should burn the vine. I'll do it now." she mused, "The rash should go in a few days." she said.

She pulled the vine off the house, and pushed it into a pile with a garden fork.

Sonia lit a match and set the pile on fire. It burned, creating some strange coloured flames.

A few days later, the man rushed back into the doctors office.

"You must come quick." he huffed. "The whole garden has the virus!"

Sonia and Jason groaned. "I'll bring the matches." he laughed.
