Dark crates loomed in front of me, each step bringing me closer to what lurked within...
Moonlight shone through the shattered window, creating long dark shadows on the towers of crates surrounding me. Silvery puddles of moonlight flickered as I silently glided through the maze of boxes. Every corner was ominus and dark, danger lurked, lots of danger. A scream puncuated the silence and i tightened in my hiding spot, crouching low. A figure darted by our corner. A flash of brown hair, terrorfied eyes, a teenaged boy darted by.
Shhh!" I whispered to the girl kneeling beside me, her teeth were chattering so loud that any hopes of escaping were as shattered as that broken window. I peaked around the corner, and instinct kicked in. I squeezed my small frame through a gap in the boxes and slipped down a small tunnel of crates. I came to the edge and with the mirror in my pocket peaked around the corner. I had to restrain a scream, a face with bright red eyes was right there, staring right at me. It's parched, cracked lips moved and it uttered a phrase. "Run Little girl run!" The creature snarled tauntingly.
There was nothing else I could do but run, run for my life holding the hand of my companion.
