A Vet Student and a Nurse meet at a Honky Tonk
WC 792
Gringo

Julie was sitting alone at a table vacated by her friends. It was Friday night and she had not wanted to come. But after shift her girlfriends had insisted, and they drove over to the Honky Tonk Bar, where her pals hooked up with their boyfriends. She noticed a tall, wiry looking Cowboy watching…her heart began to throb as he walked over. She couldn’t help but notice his big silver belt buckle and the bulge underneath it.

I bet it’s a sock, she thought.

“Wan… dance?”

“Sure, why not?" She answered. It was a two-step and he took her hand and led them out onto the dance floor.

“What’s your name?”

“Julie Ann, and yours?”

“My friends call me Gringo… Where you from?”

“Here in Tucson…How’d you get that handle?” He was a better dancer, than she expected.

“After class I work on a ranch, North of here… I’m the only white dude on the payroll.”

His speech was country but not hokey. She wondered about the classes he was taking.

“Do you come here often?” she inquired. He was wearing just the slightest whiff of cologne… Whatever it was, it had her heart pumping.

“Whenever I get a minute to unwind.” A slow dance kicked in and they melted into each others arms.

May I have this dance for the rest of my life…..

“What brings you here?” he asked.

“I came with friends....who have dates…which is more than I can say. Sure glad you asked me to dance.”

“I was feeling lucky,” he said smiling. “I knew if I didn’t corral you, there’d be plenty of others stepping up.“

“Nice of you to say that..., though, I can’t imagine who you’re referring to."

“Those rowdies over by the bar… They've been trying to get up the nerve.”

“Oh my goodness…" she said sizing up the cast of characters. "Thank you, for coming to my rescue."

"Glad to oblige…you sure do dance good."

"What kind of classes are you taking, Gringo?”

Julie felt his hard begin to stir. That’s no sock, she suddenly realized, that’s grade A tenderloin.

"It's my last year at Pine Bluff Tech. I’m a pre vet major." He pushed back, so she wouldn’t notice. "How about you?"

"I’m a nurse at County Memorial in Tucson… I work the cardiac floor." This guy is really nice.

"I’m not sure you’re suited for that kind of work," he said wryly.

"What makes you say that?", she answered, nudging with her stomach. He stumbled and she used the opportunity to press herself even closer.

He clutched a step and took a deep breath.

“I say that because, one look at you would give a man a heart attack for sure."

She replied with a sultry voice, “I like a man with a sense of humor.”

“…and I like a woman who laughs at my dumb jokes."

“…but that’s not why I’m smiling.”

“Why then?”

“Because that pickle of yours, is giving me quite a tickle.”

A tremor passed though his body and he wobbled..

She pressed closer.

Afraid to look her in the eye, he stared down at her chest. The buttons of her blouse seam were loose and there was plenty to see.

"Do you like my breasts?"

“Why do you ask that?" He started.

"Because you can’t seem to tear your baby blues away...You know, I have a face too. Some even say it's attractive."

“I’m sorry,” he stammered…"I didn’t realize..."

"Well... you do now Cowboy..., and it's not polite to stare…, you can enjoy the graze, but don’t stare." This is fun, she thought, He's so innocent.

His eyes locked on hers. "I won’t embarrass you again, Mame."

“Its not like they’re really intended for you anyway,"

Huh?

"You know what I'm talking about," she said scolding…"they’re intended for the ankle biters that sprout up, once a man finishes with the plowing."

His jaw dropped and this time he stopped... dead in his tracks.

"Turn your head and hold me close," she said.

…You be my partner every night…

Her breasts melted into his chest and she held him close as they twirled about to the ending of the song. The band leader announced a break. They continued standing on the dance floor.

"Why have you been sniffing me?" she teased.

"I‘m wasn't sniffing…”

"Were too, and don't lie to me. I saw your nose twitching,"

"Then I must like the way you smell."

She pressed against his excitement. "Do you now…?"

He shifted back and forth with his hips."These pants are too tight."

"Tight, is what’s under the denim.“

He blushed. "How about joining me for a beer?"

"That would be nice, I could sure use a tall one right about now."
