A piece of poetry written in a dark time....
I hang on to reality by a fraying thread of hope,

clinging to sanity and praying for a miracle that never seems to come.
Where's the release?

I want to smash the pieces of my already shattered soul...
How do you put a puzzle together when the pieces don't fit?

I try to make sense of this life gone wrong... need to fix the mistakes of my past.
Because God sometimes you just don't come through!

Where does the time go, I ask. It disappears into the ether, never to return and endlessly ticking on.

Swimming through the waves of her guilt in a sea of disappointments...
"Stay calm"... I try. Gotta keep my wits about me.

All of my mistakes and all of my faults sit in a pile on my laundry room floor, waiting....
Waiting to be cleansed of the dirty stains of time, which have become dull and worn.

The rain begins to fall, making sounds on the roof.
I open the door and step out into salvation...
