A moral story about the importance of friendship.
All the sea creatures woke up bright and early on a Sunday morning for their work was almost complete.  Today would be the day where they would finally find their buried treasure in the forbidden part of the ocean. Crab, the head of the excavation, was the first to arrive at the scene. Fish and seahorse came together.

“Morning, Crab,” yelled Fish. “Excited to be almost done?”

“Yeah, of course,” Crab said. “The only thing is, I can’t work today.”

“Oh, no!” cried Seahorse. “Why not?”

Crab showed his friends his right claw, which was all wrapped up in seaweed. “A rock fell on me last night.”

“I’m terribly sorry,” Fish said. “We’ll be sure to work extra hard for you today.”

Once all the animals came together, they continued to dig until they reached the handles of the treasure chest. Sea Turtle was able to lift the chest out of the sand. “I think we should let Crab open it up, “Sea Turtle said. “He’s been the head of the project since it started.”

Everyone agreed with Sea Turtle. When Crab opened the chest, he said, “Thank you for doing all the work for me. Now I will be the richest sea creature in all the oceans!”

Crab walked away with the treasure chest and left everyone puzzled. “We don’t need him anyway,” they all conversed.

Days and days went by and no one heard from Crab. Even though he had all the money he could have ever wanted, there was still something missing in his life. One day, he decided to go find his sea friends. “I’m sorry I was so mean,” Crab said. “Let’s share the treasure and be friends.”

All the sea creatures talked it over and decided to give Crab and second chance. Because after all, there are gold ships and silver ships, but the best ship is FRIENDSHIP!
