Political Commentary poetry
Highest power block at lowest rung
Why they stay down is hard to say
This is my guess; their stance is wrong
They dance to tunes oppressors play

The masses' plight; O piteous fate
Led by the nose, wedded to woes
Power resides in their joint estate
They give it up to smiling foes

How readily they buy sweet tales
Fabricated by power-drunks
How blind to radiant facial veils
Adorning crooks as pious monks

Across the globe, it's just the same
Base, fickle minds rise to the top
Spread their disease; numbness to shame
'Till value hubs grind to a stop

Hope of life for this sinking ship
May yet be found in the people's frame
Could they but get a firmer grip
On the ace they hold in power game
