Sacrificial Lamb

Save me from my sacred self,
Friend or foe, which one am I
Broken perception in the mirror
I cut this flesh to live, not die

I cannot see these aching wounds
that break the skin that seals
Blood drenched fingers clutching breast
I break apart this flesh to feel

I am numb, entranced, tortured by life
Scars broken, yet will not close
I am dying slowly with each callous slice
I am not friend, I am foe
