The first in my Whisper in the Wind collection
Sitting here listening to the world outside pass me by
Wondering where I went wrong with you
I fought like Hell to keep you from, but still you had to die
They say hindsight is 20/20, looking back I never had a clue
What I really meant to you
Now in this solitude I no longer fight the tears
I hate knowing I couldn't save you
This is a pain I have felt through the years

This silence speaks to me so loud
Playing my memories like movie (for the world to see)
Not knowing how to deal with this, hiding in this shroud
My heart tears itself to pieces (far from the light that we had)
This silence speaks to me so loud
Telling me that I give you the one thing you needed (though I can not seem to believe it)
MY VOICE, THEIR VOICE, and then there is you among this crowd
Holding my hand telling me to carry on

I can't help but try to drink this away
How we ever came to be (I will never know)
Why did it have to be you to die this way
Such a slow and painful death, the cancer never would go
Away.... and let you live

Now in this solitude I no longer fight the tears
Knowing you are gone hurts so bad
I am sorry you had to suffer so many years

This silence speaks to me so loud
Playing my memories like movie (for the world to see)
Not knowing how to deal with this, hiding in this shroud
My heart tears itself to pieces (far from the light that we had)
This silence speaks to me so loud
Telling me that I give you the one thing you needed (though I can not seem to believe it)
MY VOICE, THEIR VOICE
then there is you among this crowd
Holding my hand telling me to carry on

I was there when you needed me
I loved you unconditionally
I prayed for a miracle, one that would have saved you
I can't understand why it had to be you
So many times we talked about life
One that you knew you would never have
But somehow you kept hope alive through every ounce of strife
I promised I wouldn't let you go
So here I am still holding your hand
even after you have turned cold

In this silence, You speak to me so loud
Holding me in your arms
Telling me that you're so proud
I have to carry on because there is others that need me
In this silence, I hear the angels singing
Happy another child has come home
I am begging you to never forget me, and to always stay here with me
You tell me in your soft voice that
You will always be in my heart
You will be everywhere

This silence speaks so loud to me
