a little poem of what the heart goes through
A beat of a drum,

A twitch of silence,

I was wrapped in wind,

Drowned in sorrow,

The salt stinging hit me like a bullet,

Intoxicated by beads of oxygen,

I can be broken and shattered,

Twisted and warped,

Yet I can be sewn back up,

Permanently locked in a padlock

A padlock of happiness, forgiveness,

Welded together, waiting

Waiting to break once again,

The drumbeat to fade,

She swore to herself,

That I did not exist,

She found the only exception,

Now there is me to stop the music,

The beat,

Find mine and her partings of sorrow,

For the dawn of silence to break
