A poem about my ideal summer day :)
Let’s take a day, you’ve offered me
A walk in the park, a city night escapade
Don’t care where we are
Let the stress melt away
Into our minds, the memory rests

Skipping along, a pebble on the lake
Shimmering light forms fragmented figures
Cascading waves crashing aboard
Let the boat rock
Catch us some dinner, a feast of fillets

Let the starry night melt
Like Van Gogh’s oil
Painted a smile on my face
Zipping by destroying immobility
Ocean’s won’t stop us
Times broken repetition
Reputation for summer nights

Let’s lay down for the night
Dream of summer boat rides
Those fragmented memories
Pieced together, less than surreal
Guided by our hearts
Let’s make our dreams real
