composed after a ride on my new medical scooter!
Oct 18, 2005

         Test drive

New scooter batteries installed
      A run down required
              A beautiful day provided
Early snowstorm has disappeared
        Late autumn temps
Milkweed pods burst white fuzzies anew
Symphony of mesmerizing delights
        Treetops rustling, Crackling dried leaves
         Small stream tinkling
Bright red Sumacs
        Aged brassy cottonwoods
         bright sunny glare
Teenage encounter
        She’s collecting his digits
         Across the gully he shouts
Puppies bark their presence
A big black nose appears through broken slats
That’s no puppy he’s big as a horse
Oh, the sights you can see
If attention is paid an inkling
Each day offers a challenging test
