I wrote this poem shortly after the oil spill in the gulf of Mexico.
Black oily voids,
Wander on the slick surface,

Rot swallows whole
Wastes
Of past Life.

Down deep and dark,
Whales wail in sorrow.

But everywhere,
Every how in space extended
Forever,
Gold specks rise, float
Unfold explode,
Their exodus aided forever
By the glance of the newborn
Sun.
