Quick little poem giving the importance of having independence.
Nothing is gained for free
All if fought for, never given
Whether it is food, shelter, or even small pieces of candy
From the beginning of time to the year of 2010

Many people think freedom is a common trait
That it comes just like a band-aid in a first-aid kit
Yet it isn't within some people's fate
To live in the domain of it

As others roll along
Without freedom or joy
We sing our own happy song
Distracting ourselves with our own form of decoy

Some forget the happiness fought
Saying that we live normally
But many have never thought
Of how others are outside the national family

Independence is different everywhere
Celebrated in a different fashion
Either with parades or with a big circus bear
With freedom being the passion

So, just like others, ours is special
Sending the skys ajoy
Coming anual
Giving joy to the deployed

Although sight is restricted to a distance
And the fireworks don't fire during the day
We all celebrate
Our own Independence Day
