The monotony of life.
The sunlight crashes through the window pane.
An avalanche of colors awaken all my pain.
Another night of rest to work myself to sleep.
Aching to stay awake; Slumber I must not keep.

The hum drum numb hum of engines at a pace.
Timekeeping clock pounding my heart into disgrace.
Every heart beat writhing my spirit to awaken,
Breaths waning as my dreams continue to be shaken.

All consuming desire pulling the strings of my heart
Calloused by carrots and tunnel lights which chart
The sunsetting to a canvas of black and white
Suffocating the emotions of a worth while fight.

The darkness of night creeps through the window.
My eyes grow heavy like a dam begun to shut flow.
The blankets choke my life as I rest praying
That the next day I may live though inside decaying.
