A poem about a mother seeking forgiveness
Forgive me,

For justifying his ire,

For bringing you into this life,

For hiding his actions with lies,

For not having the courage to fight,

For being scared when you must have been petrified,

For not being the supermom like in the stories I read you at night,

Forgive me, for not protecting you the day you died.
