Piece of Poetry
man sits with his friends, ciggerette in his hand
he looks down at the ground, as it burns out in the sand
takes a look at his world and how he chose to live
looks for someone else, to her he can give
she's not in the room, nor anywhere to be found
he hasn't met her yet, but she'll come around
he knows this is the reason for the sadness he holds
its breaking him down, his story shall be told
this is the story of the lonely eyes
looking for his happiness, he'll go on for miles
he hangs his head low so no one can see
his eyes start to sag, now listen to me
theres a girl out there, whos waiting for you
keep your head down, and she'll pass right through
she needs to see your lonely eyes gape into her
you need to hear her speak, her words are pure
he pays for a coffee and takes a wooden chair seat
she pays for a donut, drops her change by his feet
he bends down politely to help pick it up
she blushes with a glance, as he takes a sip from his cup
he says "the terrible sadness, why don't they realize? just stare into my lonely eyes"
she stops "well babe, thats the beauty of time, your eyes are only lonely cuz they haven't met mine"
his eyes filled with joy as he looked at her above
ironically her name is fate, this was a story of love
