I was happily soaked by the rain.

Caught in the rain

The day began, it was dreary,
The low grey clouds made me weary.
Going to the river to fish,
Don’t rain, my wish, don’t rain my wish.

The sun was hid, there was no glow
How long I’d stay, I could not know.
The sun came out, then in, a game
And then it came, and then it came.

I tried to fish, I threw my net,
At first a smile as I got wet.
My staying there became my goal
Lifting my soul, lifting my soul.

The rain came down, it fell on me,
Funny I thought, it brought such glee.
A time like this, I’d never known
Soaked to the bone, soaked to the bone.

I laughed so hard I nearly fell,
I looked around, no one could tell
It filled my mind, laughing insane
Caught in the rain, caught in the rain.
