Life doesn't always look the way it feels, sort of like how dreams are not reality
It looks so safe
Inside here
It looks so new
And clean
When you whimper
In your sleep
You are screaming
In your dream
Can you catch me
As I'm falling
Will you join me
In my head
The closet
Was a lie
The monsters
Are under the bed
The silver lining
use to glitter
But now
It's lost its sheen
When you whimper
In your sleep
You are screaming
In your dream
Dreamland
Was a cloud
That I have somehow
Fallen through
I'd trade the stars
From the sky
Just to tell you
The truth
This land was once
A fairytale
But nothing
Is what it seems
When you whimper
In your sleep
You are screaming
In your dreams
