Started as a song, but I think it works better as a short poem.
Don't let me break you
Don't let me pull you down
My soul is broken
I'm here: on the ground

You get me drunk, get me drunk
You're my alcohol
I'm addicted, I'm addicted
Back against the wall

I'll be your love; be your drug
Take me all in all
Breathe into me, you're my breath
I need your love

Let me forget the night before
One of trouble, one of war
'Cause even in sobriety
You see, I need oxygen
