It was the 1st few weeks of Spring and I was feeling observant
The grass is green
The sun is shining
Flowers are 'bout to bloom
Tho' my sight be not keen
I hear children sighing, "Oh, why can this month not be June?'

The sky is blue with a sapphire tint
While birds rejoice with song
With evenings dew comes fragrant mint
Soon we won't have to wait long

Dawn turns to dusk
Dusk turns to dawn
Forever this cycle remains
Grass turns to husk
Now Winter's upon
And the cycle starts over again
