a metaphor for heaven and hell. someone who is in doubt of where he is going
                    The Line

Confused, I approached the back of the line
Still confused, I tried to see the beginning
The line seemed to stretch forever
It didn’t seem to move at all
Most of the people seemed relaxed and at ease
Like they knew where they were going
I looked behind me
More people were joining in
Another line trailed off in a different direction
There was a big orange glow down there
Most of those people seemed apprehensive
Or maybe they were scared
I started to wonder
Was I in the right line?
Some people were talking and guessing
Where the line was going
Again I wondered
Was I in the right line?
