Poem written for my nieces.
Waiting for them to come I get restless

So I push the moon down its nest

And grab the sun from the crest.

I gather stars from the night board of sky

So that when they arrive at the morning twilight

It be sprinkled upon them all gleamy and bright.

I ask the rain to wrap up by then

Stretch out the rainbow

Crown its halo on them.

For I’ll be the happiest Aunt among the rest

While I hold them both – one right, one left.
