A lifetime of promises...disappear within a blink of an eye.
Of course, there was a downfall,

one we didn't see coming,

like waves that crash against the ocean rocks,

it's easy to picture it, isn't it..

just like it was easy for you to walk away,

shouldn't I be used to this?

~~

No, obviously I'm not,

for I saw you as the only soulmate of my life,

and now your the one leaving my door,

dropping off my heart as you make your exit,

the faint heartbeat of it's dying figure,

pulsing but lightly, asking for you to pick it up again,

begging you not to leave it there,

crying out for the warmth of your heart,

that fed it's very purpose to beat.

~~

You once asked me never to let you leave,

here I stand before you, reaching out for what I still want,

for what I still crave,

Baby, your the light to my life,

you are the beating to my heart,

it was suppose to be,

Forever and Always.
