One of my early poems, never forget to tell 'that' person how much you love them
Reclaim Love Lost

I saw the hurt in her eyes,
But wouldn’t say, “I’m sorry”.
I saw her lips tremble as she cried,
But didn’t bend to kiss her.
I heard her whisper “I love you”
But I couldn’t hear the words,
Her arms reached out to hold me
But I did not see, I’d turned away.

I wouldn’t,,,,
I didn’t,,,,,,,,,
I couldn’t,,,,,,
And I lost.

It’s sad how fleeting love can be
It’s even sadder to realize what you had,
Only to find that you’re too proud,
Too stubborn, too afraid
To look in her eyes and melt the hurt away
To kiss the tremble from her lips,
The tears from her eyes
To whisper “I Love You” one more time
Then hold her close,
And know the two of you are one.

Never fail to find love,
And never fail to reclaim love lost,
The price you pay if you don't
Is the utter, and complete feeling,
Of being alone.
