A snowflake sets a spark aglow in the heart
A snowflake falling tenderly
Came to rest upon my face.
The icy chill deliciously
Sought my heart’s embrace.

In my heart an ember glowing
Did warm the wintry glade.
In the frozen earth buds sowing
Huddled at the hearth I’d made.

Come closer to my embers!
And let your tendrils curl!
In the snows of December
Spring’s promise does unfurl.
