how you say it

I dont know why words can't cut it
you can never really say what you feel,
people always lie
so that others think it's real,

A look cannot be spoken,
though you say with your eyes,
and a touch cannot be heard,
but if you feel it you may cry,

Many people think
that what they say can't hurt,
and unless you tell them otherwise
they'll carry on dishing the dirt,

Books will be read
and a million songs will be sung,
If you mean what you say
then how you say it cant be wrong.

Tears will be shed
over unfeasable meaning,
people will tear themselves up
over the things they are feeling,

No one understands
how humans think,
and when your words get stuck in your throat
you feel the need to blink,

If you cannot find the handle
to turn the faucet off,
the tears keep on flowing
and you feel you cannot stop,

Words will be spoken
and a million songs will be sung,
But when you realise you mean what you're saying
how come it comes out sounding wrong?
