What stirs you? The sea stirs me.
I am stirred by the sea. By the playful light reflecting from its surface. By the sounds that fill my ears; the crashing of the waves, the lull of the tide. I am stirred by the power of nature, its ability to inspire peace, awe, and fear in equal measure. I am stirred by despair as the powers try to convince us that the only way to be stirred is to pay, to buy, to produce, to earn. I despair as we are ignorant to, and neglect, not only the sea, but the rivers, streams, mountains, fields. We don't need to pay, to buy, to produce, to earn. All we need to do is go outside to be stirred by mother nature; in return we can protect her.
