Actually an art piece where I clustered all the words together for a more horrifying feel.
we ran and ran for miles and miles
until exhaustion came and left
by then we could not feel our legs
we ran 'til we were completely spent
we ran in fields of grass so green
and trampled over everything
that crossed our path and tried to stop
our foolish little escapade.
we ran under the skies so clear
of wind and rain we had no fear
because we wore our lucky charms
we'd stupidly let get to our heads.
we even ran through swamps and caves
because he told me to be brave,
and charged through the most dangerous ways;
our bare feet stung and bled.
i swear we never stopped to rest, i
swear we but slowed down at best
i swear i swear i never jest
but as i turned to draw his testi-
mony i saw he was dead---
