Grandpa, Tell Me About the Good Old Days. I Swear, I love to listen to your stories about A Honkey Tonk Man.”

He smiled. “Sure. What story would you like to hear?”

I thought it over. “Tell me about the time you dated a A Coal Miner’s Daughter.”

He nodded. “Oh yeah. She was a sweet girl. All my friends thought I dated her because she was So Hott, and had a fondness for Red High Heels. But I enjoyed being with her because she could really dance. Did you know we started The Dance called The Twist?”

My eyes widened. “No, I didn’t. That is so cool. You’re like a real Rockstar or something. I’m going to get you to sign a Photograph for me. So, is Grandma telling the truth that she Married for Money?”

Grandpa laughed. “Well, what do you think?”

“Well, Mamma says it’s because you thought Grams was One Hot Momma. I think it’s because you’re Two of a Kind.”

He tapped me on the nose. “You sure are smart. That’s the truth. I fell in love with her the first day I saw her. I would have done anything to be with her.”

I nodded. I had a question to ask him. I took a deep breath. “I heard that Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven. Will they let you in? Grams told me you had a wild streak when you were young.”

He laughed. “That I did. It lasted until she told me we had One on the Way. After a few months of dealing with her hormones while I was sober, I told her, You Ain’t Much Fun Since I Quit Drinking.”

I gasped. “That wasn’t very nice.”

“Yep. I know that now. But things changed when I met your Aunt Jill. Soon as I held her I knew. My first words to her were, ’I’ll Love You More Than You’ll Ever Know’.”

“I love Aunt Jill. She’s the greatest. I remember when she told me to always check her Daddy’s Hands. She said you would always have a treat for me. And you do. I don’t know how she knew that.”

“So sweet pea, why do you like to hear these stories so much?”

I reached up and gave him a hug. “Because I love you and want to know everything there is. Maybe I’m Crazy but I don’t care.”

He squeezed me tight. “No Boo boo, you’re not crazy. I loved to hear my grandpa tell stories too. I enjoy our daily Conversation. It’s the highlight of my life.”
