2011 two zero one one Is this the year, He finishes his job?
(Please note LOCKED has purposely been split into two words lock and ed' This was to make the meter work better
I understand such things are allowed in poems, and songs, but not in prose, Thus an almost single syllable word (depending on what part of the country you are from, locked (lak t)  becomes (lak) (ed') with a hard accent making two clear and separate syllables.I used a College English Text published in 1952)  If you read it aloud you can clearly see the difference that makes.)

I hear music when I read this.  I wish I knew a way to let you hear the music too.

He’s Busy

Writing poems and making promises; that no one can keep
He hopes he can catch you, while you are asleep
You must be dreaming, it cannot be true
There is no end; to what some people do
If you believe them, and swallow their lies
They are much closer; to stealing our prize
Everything of value must be lock’ ed’ away
Cause the deceiver is here to stay
We will be hungry and homeless too
There is no more America; like the one that we knew

                (CHORUS)

Here is a toast to days gone by;
Who knew how fast the time would fly?
None to waste or throw away
Just enough to face one more day

        (repeat first verse)

          (sing chorus twice)
