This is not strictly a poem. It's about a parent and their child.
The seed is planted early on
but it is not guaranteed life,
When it's planted it might grow
if the sun is very bright.

When a bud first sprouts
you are filled with joy,
but the seed itself is unhappy
because it wishes to know the sun.

"The sun helped bring me life
so it is my parent!", cries the seed.
The seed does not understand
that the sun does not care about him.

You tell your seed that the sun
has many seeds.
The seed does not care,
it wants to meet the sun.

You take the seed to meet the sun,
but the sun can only look at it in distaste.
The sun's heat burns the seed
and you take the seed away.

You nurse it back to health
and you tend it 'til it blooms.
Now it knows that it's true
parent is you.
