a love poem
ROCK CLIMBING
Oh, heart so happy
Smiles so broad
Sparkling sand on my feet
And your smoky topaz eyes before me;
Exuberant joy gives way to
An unknowing void-filled ache
When I doubt love’s truth;
And then the resilience kicks in;
Gradually,
Like a rock-climber,
I
Steadily
Make
My
Way
Back
To
Love’s
Truth.
