Themes of pride and prejudice with a twist.
Our hidden addictions
Reveal our deepest needs
Our gravest need
For, Jesus' redemptive power.
The Father's omnipotent love
To pierce our darkness
To free us from ourselves.

A love to unlock our closet of skeletons
To blow a new breeze of refreshing renewing
wind,
To clean the dust of old sinful antiquity,
renewing our souls.

But alas, what is this? Resistance?
We refuse help...salvation?
We embrace damnation, condemnation?

Pride takes over, prejudice settles in.
We see the world through our cracked lens,
alone.

We see no need to repair, and instead
Insist we are right,
Still
Through our cracked vista

Depriving ourselves of truth,
Ready to lose,
A destiny so inconceivable
It seems, ridiculous.
