Inception movie inspired me to write this poem.
INCEPTION

The sun is sailing down the horizon,

evening rays are kissing the world goodbye

As you and I walk in the dusk painted with red crayon

my feelings fly high

and love marks the inception.

While I see myself in your eye,

the sun brighten and flares, blinding the vision.

Globe of fire is consuming the earth and sky,

you are gone; I am left in the midst of fire alone.

It was just a dream within a dream.

Atop a hill, it’s no less than a paradise,

I hug and say “I love you”.

The wind blowing over the hills and valleys

play the romantic tunes few

and the love rain showers from the skies.

While I passionately watched you,

Swirling air raises and raises,

grows like a hungry monster in dark hue.

Everything on its way is destroyed and thrown for a toss,

you are gone; I am left with dust and broken things few

It was just a dream within a dream.

My eyes celebrates to capture

you waiting for me at a sand beach in April.

Your hair swing in the air,

you look like an angel,

dropped for me by the stars that glitter.

As I saw at the watch you gave, my hands tremble,

it has stopped ticking, and that’s unfair.

While my heart pounds unstable,

the waves raise higher and higher,

and hits the beach , that’s frightful.

You are gone; I am left alone in the middle of the water

It was just a dream within a dream.

As we walk in the city together,

across the streets with fancy neon lights,

fingers woven and hands swaying together.

Love bridges our hearts,

emotions growing as high as skyscrapers.

While feelings are swirling at its heights

there comes a wave beneath my feet, a disaster.

Earth tremors and pulls down buildings from the city sights.

Death surrounded as I stood with shiver,

you are gone; I am left with debris that frights.

It was just a dream within a dream.

Mild morning rays shoot me from window,

cool wind blowing from outside

carry the scent of dust and rain.

I opened my eyes not so wide,

saw the watch you gave, it’s running fine.

For you my eyes searched,

but you were gone

not just from a dream within my dream.

why do I get these lucid dreams ever

though I know you are gone forever

may be love has only inception

but no culmination.

Love once born can’t be burnt

can’t be destroyed,

it lives with you forever and ever.
