After being a victim of domestic violence, my fight with my Saviour begins...
Where were you when my innocence was ripped away?
Did you not hear what I had to say?
I cried your name at the top of my lungs
The way you ignored me really stung.
You must not have cared what was happening to your child
Though your Word says you care for the meek and the mild.
You left me alone when I needed you the most
So I’ll just not depend on the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Then I won’t worry about my heart being in pain
Even though it may sound insane.
I’ll protect my own heart, so you can’t hurt it
And not worry anymore about keeping my light lit.
For your ignoring me cost a loss of faith in you
I don’t know if it’ll ever come back. I just don’t know what to do.
