A tale of a lie and how it starts out.
Everyone has a lie that gets out of hand.
A lie with so many connections.
A lie that could probably fill a book.
A book that would become a best seller.

Lies form from the lips of the teller
Spread like rapid fire to those of the listeners.
They start out small, something little.
But then they get more intricate, complicated.
To the point where the lie has now become lies.
The teller becomes the listener
and the listeners become pawns.

Pawns to the bigger picture.
Spreading the lies, like icing on the cake.
And let me tell you this,
everyone wants a piece of that cake.

It’s funny to watch the lie grow.
Become greater than you can even imagine.
And worse, people get hurt with the lie.
People cry over the lie.
Yet people keep telling the lie.

Why? Why speak such slander?
To climb that social ladder
you so desperately desire?
To be the top dog,
the one who calls the shots?

Enjoy your time on top,
enjoy your fake life you live.
Cause every dog has to be put down
and a new one to take it’s place.
One with a much harder bite.
