With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility
I have analyzed that Sajdah (Prostration) has much related to the Forehead. Forehead indicates your Brain, Brain means wisdom, and wisdom means conscious. And Conscious is the thing which make Human distinctive than all other animals.

First let me explain what is Sajdah then Forehead and lastly both combined.

Sajdah: (Prostration)

{image: http://www.flickr.com/photos/93354675@N00/455820129/}

Sajdah is Arabic world and its translation in English is Prostration. In Islamic World it is done by putting your forehead on the ground, plus your both hands, your both knees and your toes of both feet touch the ground. So total 7 parts of your body touch the ground in the act of Sajdah.
In Islamic World Sajdah has a great value. And it can never be performed except Almighty God (except He orders.). Sajdah cannot be compared with simple bowing or curtsy in respect, that’s ok.
When God created the Adam, He brought him before angels and Lucifer and ordered them to prostrate, Quran says:

116. When We said to the angels, "Prostrate yourselves to Adam", they prostrated themselves, but not Iblis: he refused. (Quran, Taha 20, 116)

Thus Satan became Satan for not doing Sajdah before Adam, as God ordered and disobeyed God.

At another place when magicians of Pharaoh were defeated by Moses they thrown themselves in prostration to accept the Islam (or at that time True religion which was brought by Moses):

70. So the magicians were thrown down to prostration: they said, "We believe in the Lord of Aaron and Moses". (Quran, Taha 20, 70)

And magicians emancipated by just throwing themselves in Sajdah before God.

As everyone knows Muslims perform Namaz 5 times a day, at different positions of Sun. Each Namaz contain different Rakats and each Rakat contains 2 Sajdahs. If you minimize your prayers to least obligations then you’ll perform at least 34 Sajdahs per day from dawn to dusk.

It is also said in the Quran that this Namaz (in arabic Salat) is not specific to only Muslims, or prayers of Last Prophet, but God has given this prayer (Namaz) to every Prophet.

Jesus says in the Quran:

29. But she pointed to the babe. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?"
30. He said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah: He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet;
31. And hath made me blessed wheresoever I may be, and hath enjoined upon me prayer and alms-giving so long as I remain alive,
32. "(He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable;
(Quran, Maryam, 29-32)

The translation of 'prayer' in the verse is actually Salat in Arabic which means Namaz and Almsgiving means Zakat and it is special act, when rich person got some specific thing at certain quantity (rich by Hoses, rich by Camels, rich by Goats, rich by Gold) then he has to give 2.5% out of it annually.

For Ismael:

54. And mention Ismail in the Book; surely he was truthful in (his) promise, and he was a messenger, a prophet.
55. And he enjoined on his family prayer and almsgiving, and was one in whom his Lord was well pleased.
(Quran, Maryam, 54-55)

Surah Anbiya (Prophets):

16. And We did not create the heaven and the earth and what is between them for sport.
48. And certainly We gave to Musa and Haroun the Furqan and a light and a reminder for those who would guard (against evil).
51. And certainly We gave to Ibrahim his rectitude before, and We knew him fully well.
72. And We bestowed on him Isaac and, as an additional gift, (a grandson), Jacob, and We made righteous men of every one (of them).
73. And We made them Imams who guided (people) by Our command, and We revealed to them the doing of good and the keeping up of prayer and the giving of the alms, and Us (alone) did they serve;

In short:

Namaz is the best prayer, and Sajda is the king part of it, and in Sajdah forehead among seven partsis at its top.

Forehead:

Now we come to Science and Evolution.
Evolution is true (may be we argue on the conditions of evolution, but there is evolution). And as far as my knowledge is concerned Islam does not oppose the evolution. Otherwise why God sent so many prophets one after another, why Abraham after Noah why Solomon after David why Jesus after Moses and why Muhammad after Jesus? (God has sent 124,000 prophets, last one was the Prophet Muhammad). And why so many Books (104 books, last one is Quran).
IT IS the symptom of evolution, God knows people's psychology, thoughts, habitat, which changes after time to time so they are needed new teachings and new books according to their Brian and Wisdom of certain time. That’s why every (big) prophet brought new teachings which were more accordance to time.
If there was no evolution then One Prophet and One Book was enough from dawn to dusk.

One Million Adams:

Actually I found the exact saying of Imam Jafar Sadiq (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhammad_al-Baqir), 676-733 C.E, grand grand son of Prophet Muhammd, and below mentioned Hadith is written by Shaikh Sudooq (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaykh_Saduq) in his Book KHISAL, this person belonged to 10th century (died 381 hijri, i.e. 991 C.E)

Shaikh Sudoqq says:
My Father Raze Allah Anh narrated to me,said, Saad bin Abdullah narrated to me, said, Muhammad bin Eesa via Hasan bin Mehboob narrated to us, said, he narrated from Umar bin Shimr, and he narrated from Jabir bin Yazeed that, I asked Imam Baqir about this Ayat:

15. Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation. (Quran, Qaf 50, 15)

He (Imam Baqir) said, “O Jabir, the explanation of that verse is that when Allah Az o Jal will diminished this creation and this world/cosmos, and dwelled/settled the elysium in paradise and damned in hell then Allah Az o Jal will create a new cosmos from beginning, and will create a new creature without male or female that will worship Him and accept the oneness of Him. Further He will create a new earth without this earth for that creature, which will carry the burden of it. And will create a new sky/heaven without this sky that will stand up of them (like roof).
Perhaps you think God has created only one universe and you think God has not created any man except you.
Yes by Allah Tabarak o Tala has created one million universes and one millioin Adams, and you are in the last world and offspring of last Adam.
[Khisal, Last Chapter 23, Last Hadith 20]

Human Evolution

In Human Evolution Brain plays the main role. Actually it is Brain whose evolution is human’s evolution indeed.
We see the shape of head/forehead changes with time, earliest human (human like creatures) had small brains and their forehead was more sloped and backward. I mean they had no actually forehead. Those creatures were not much conscious about themselves and their Creator, so they were not bound to any obligations like Sajdah, actually they cannot perform Sajdah as Sajdah needs forehead to perform and they have not any. But Once Human evolved much enough, and he got enough brain/wisdom and conscious then now he is bound to prostrate before his God, because they now Knew it. And now there is no way of refuse Him, except you are crazy/insane unconscious of yourself.

So when human got much brain and their forehead beccme flat upward, now they have to put it on ground before God, to accept and confess that we are none but your men, your slaves.

Summary Plus Other References:

Forehead is the main part of Human Evolution. And Humans are premier beings than all others only due to his brain. And Human Evolution is actually the evolution of his brain. Very early Human-like-creatures’ brains were small and face pulled forward and their forehead were almost none. In this regard, from religious point of view we can say, those were not bound to pray and prostrate before God.
In this way once Human evolved much enough that he got his forehead then he also began to pray and prostrate before God, and he became bound to obey the orders. Because brain made human conscious and conscious made human a human. And Forehead is the symbol of his increaseness of brain and consciousness, that human put on the ground to thank God.

in Sajdah seven parts of body touch the grond and these all 7 parts very much take part in human evolution.
Brain, Hands, Knees and Feet: after brain hands are the crucial things which makes human a human and feet with knees on which human stood erect and became bipedal creature.
So seven parts of Sajdah are also the main parts of human biology evolution.

-- When Humans were beginning to speak, then ‘signals of signal’ were reaching to brain and the work of ‘main station’ was increasing that is in the forehead of human.
(Book: Insan Bara Kese Bana. 113)

Front Part of the Brain, means Prefrontal Cortex, possesses a great value in IQ, this part is indicated as ‘Nasiyah’ in Surah Alaq, means Forehead.
15. Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,-
16. A lying, sinful forelock! (Quran, Alaq 96)

This is the part which touches the ground in sajdah, and in the state of sajdah the flow of blood increases in this part, which helps the development and activeness of this part. Therefore long sajdahs not only are accepted in the court of God but also helps to increase the wisdom in the world. In Yoga people are exercised to stand upside down as their blood flow to head. So it is better people do sajdahs like human instead of hanging upside down like monkeys.
[Dr. Muhammad Aleem Shaikh, monthly Tahira Karachi, Feb 2010]

(Surah, Haj 22, 18)
Seest thou not that to Allah bow down in worship all things that are in the heavens and on earth,- the sun, the moon, the stars; the hills,the trees, the animals; and a great number among mankind? But a greatnumber are (also) such as are fit for Punishment: and such as Allah shalldisgrace,- None can raise to honour: for Allah carries out all that Hewills.
(here Arabic Sajdah is translated as bow down, by Yousuf Ali)
