A poem for someone important to me.
Sonnet - For Allison

Disdain the dawning of the sun, too soon
Usurping ordained darkness, noble night.
Prepond'rant here, praise... Ah! O Glorious Moon!
Effulgent, globose, ghastly, phantom light
Of far-flung flight! If feign a fog enshroud
Her face, O! measure, 'midst malign malaise,
Tormented tales below, but Ho! the cloud
To laud aloud, anointed o' Her gaze -
As thy illumined haze is borne as bane
Those suffered o'er thine shadow shan't despise,
Nor seek for waned celestial sights to strain
'Til, ultimate again, a sun does rise.

So prolongate the dawning of the sun!
So prize the darkness, dearest Allison!
