same beginning as unfamiliar melody but what i see instead of feel.
Synesthesia

Dots and stems and rests and beats

Float around my head.

Begging for a way out

Needing a release.

Hard and soft at the same time

Falling into familiar rhyme

Readjusting to each other

Conforming yet staying the same

Fingers fall in familiar rhythm

Moving to the beat.

An unknown melody,

Forcing itself out of me.

Tinkling upwards,

Like a child’s laughter,

Bursts of cerulean, fuchsia, lime

Swirl above my head.

Smooth ivory and soft ebony

Beckon for my touch,

To float across the keys,

Touches soft as whispers

to create this melody.

Unfamiliar notes

Floating across my eyes

Swirling in the air

A product of my creation.

Falling downwards,

Like water dripping from the sky

Showering me in colors of

Regalia, Saffron, Sangria

In my own sacred place,

No one dares to disturb

As music flows throughout the house,

At its own unfamiliar pace.

Ears perk up

Eyes look in

Mouths stay closed

And listen to the colors,

Swirling, twining, twisting above our heads

The outside world calls to me

Begging me to see

The contrasting colors

Clashing and blending at the same time

I finally venture out

Watching carefully

Gathering satisfaction

From others reactions.

Dots and stems and rests and beats

Floating around my head

Looking for a way out

Finding their release
