A poem about a girl longing to get back her lover .
The somber night
eclipsing the glinting stars;
Silence and solitude
shrouding the utter darkness,
I sit by the burning fire,
crackling, in the fireplace.

The wind had pacified,
The flames cuffing faintly
at the candle’s wick;
Maimed and frozen,
Voicing my unspoken words
with a lingering twinge within.

With a silent tear,
I pine for your presence
To break the hiatus,
In our close-knit bond
I could awfully feel your absence
My mind into all but oblivion.

Forsaken, my soul crushed,
The bones of my body conked out,
I’m hurt, worn out.

A blazing hope still somewhere inside,
That we get back to each other
All the promises that we made,
To love and to live,
Brazen out all the odd and uncanny,
And forget and forgive.

I may be the one
who refuted your wishes,
But I’m sure I’m the only one,
who can assure you to be by your side,
Always;
I’m true to my words,
And I’ll surely abide.

Embrace me in your long arms again,
Let me loll within the space, so wide and open,
Feel my heart pulsating, slow yet constant,
Let go off all the mistakes that we did
Tether up the broken strings, right the wrong,
Nevertheless, its ‘love’ that we need,
That’ll turn our life into a merry song.
