A Poem I wrote when I was 11.
Falling into the darkness into this black hole
The knife you stabbed to me went within my soul
My world stopped in halt as time suddenly stood still
As I gazed waiting for you silently on that windowsill
As tears stubbornly formed behind these sorrow eyes
I miss your jokes, your smile, your nightly lullabies
As you walked away, disappeared in a memory behind my head
For nights I cried words of comfort to myself to sleep on the bed
As minutes of time passed, the scar within me started to heal.
A truer, stronger self of me started to reveal.
As I stood tall and strong steadily on my own two feet.
Remembering the day where I once used to accept defeat.
Now as time passed, I'm willing to let you go
I just want to tell you, how I used to love you so.
