A Death Note fanfic. Unfinished.
Name after name were in these books. These sinister books of death. Whether or not the books were justice or evil no one could tell. Very few choose justice, such as the owner. She is known as Kira indirectly, but her birth given name is Rima Yagami. She is sixteen years old and a third year high school student. She looks like her mother, Misa, with slight features from her father, Light. Her hair is golden brown and her eyes are almost the color of blood. Her identity of being Kira is known by no one except for her deceased parents. The Notebooks were the only things she had left of her parents, well, she also had their Shinigami's, Rem, her mother's, and Ryuk, her father's. They both followed Rima everywhere....

Rima sat alone at the booth in the back of her favorite coffee shop. She watched everyone walk in and out and have the same boring conversations. Ryuk and Rem were seated across from her having their usual conversation. "Green are better than red." Implied Rem. "Red are the best." Argued Ryuk. On and on they went, arguing over which apple was better. Rima barely listened. Closely she inspected everyone's name and death date that her eyes allowed her to see. Thoughts of how they would die flowed through her mind. "Do you think they'll die by me?" She questioned the arguing Shinigami's. "Only if they've done bad." They both responded.
So there they sat all day. Finally Rima got up, paid, and walked out followed by Rem and Ryuk. Rima, much like her mother was gorgeous. Every eye was on her. No one could possibly not notice how short her black strapless dress was or how much her hair flowed in the wind. She was a model just as her mother was, and a genius much like her father. Most people thought she was a goddess and, in a way, she was. Of death.
Rima took the long way to her house as she always did, to avoid photographers. Her walk was graceful, with a slight bounce to her step. Soon, she was at her front door. Rima reached for her keys and unlocked the black stained mahogany door. She slipped off her shoes and into her slippers. As Rima walked into the kitchen she flipped on the light. Ryuk and Rem walked into the kitchen before her and grabbed an apple of their color. Both of them took a bite and then threw it at each other. Rima shook her head and looked inside the fridge. As she grabbed out a box of pocky her cell phone rang. Turning around she opened her phone and put it on speaker. "Moshi, moshi?"
"Rima? It's Mitami." A male voice said. "Ah, hi Mitami. What do you want?" Rima asked him in an uninterested voice. Mitami made a whimpering noise. "Can't I call you without you wondering why? I am your boyfriend." She laughed. "Yes you can but still, this is my work phone. Call my house phone. By the way, did you do what I asked?"
"Yes, they’re dead. One died of stroke and the other has not been found." Mitami told Rima. Rima smiled. Ryuk and Rem laughed behind her. "Good, they deserved to die. That's what they get for being criminals in the world my parents created." Rima laughed almost like an insane killer. Well, then again, she was one. "Mitami, I've got to go. I'll see you later at the coffee shop. Bye" As soon as Mitami said bye Rima hang up and ran to her bedroom.
The walls of her room were alternating between blood red and pitch black. In the corner of a wall was her four-poster bed. Black and red silk draped over it. One side of her room was taken up by a very large walk in closet. Rima walked into the closet and towards the back.
In the back Rima grabbed a strapless deep purple corset and a black and deep purple plaid skirt. Quickly she put some of her hair in a bun to her left side and left the rest down. Rima grabbed a black tote and checked inside it. She pulled out a black notebook. White words on the cover read "Death Note." With a smile she walked out her closet and to her desk.
Gently setting the notebook on her desk she sat down and opened it. Nearly all of this book was taken up, filled with name after name. Everyone whose name she had written inside this book had died. Rima slowly flipped through all of the pages and smiled at all of the names. Everyone of these people had done something criminal and Rima had punished them. Very few of the names had anything beside it. The ones that did were some of the more serious cases of crimes. The people were too bad to dye by a heart attack.
Smiling, Rima closed the notebook and put it in her bag. Quickly she got dressed and hurried downstairs. Ryuk and Rem were still fighting over which apple was better. "Get over it. Both of you come on, we're meeting Mitami at the coffee shop." Rima walked outside with them following her.
