A criminal gains the ability to jump from body to body with only a touch.

This is an interactive story. Each chapter tells part of the story and often ends with multiple choices. Make a choice and move to the next chapter in your story. When you reach a chapter that hasn't been written yet, don't be shy... make an addition!
The creator of this Interactive Story provides this information and guidance:
James Corben had been a normal man until the day he lost his job. Not long after his wife, Alice, left him taking their 5-year-old daughter Danielle with her. Depressed, jobless, alone and angry at the world he slipped into a haze of alcohol before eventually slipping into a life of crime; breaking and entering, petty theft and muggings were the order of the day for the next ten years. Unfortunately one night he had attempted to mug a woman who turned out to be an undercover cop and ran eventually running into the large county park on the edge of the city. There he tripped, hit his head on a rock and died at the age of 44.

However while this would be the end of most stories it was not the end of James' as the next day a group of teenagers camping in the forest discovered his body and when one of them attempted to touch it, James' spirit shot into his body taking control of it. He would find out later that he could move from one body to another by touch but our story begins with that first fateful possession...

Rules
The general rules that one comes to expect apply. Try to keep the storyline coherent, try to make sure spelling and grammar remains reasonably good so chapters remain readable; I can fix simple mistakes but if they're excessive in a way that's distracting the chapter may be deleted.

Likewise try and have some actual content. About two paragraphs is sufficient. Any chapters that are simply one or two sentences will be deleted.

James can only possess people. Not animals, not inanimate objects, only other people. He can control whether or not he jumps into a body when touching someone and when possessing them he gains instant access to all of their memories in order to effectively "be" them if he so chooses. Likewise James exists only as a spirit as his physical body is dead and thus unusable.

James is a character with no particular morals. As he was a loser and a criminal in life, his death left him feeling bitter, hateful and resentful at the world. With his new power, he feels that he can get revenge and do anything he wants without impunity and thus he can, and most likely will, abuse his power for whatever desires he may have no matter how depraved.
