The eternal fire that has burned within man's heart for millenia.
Thy touch makes me recoil in my pain,
Gentle eyes that scorched and burned.
Make me want neither life nor fame.
Flames in my heart, the sound of thy name.
Thy soft, burning gaze haunts my dreams,
What is this cruel new game?

My heart in flames, ashes in the winds.
Love, thou art a double-edged knife,
The wounds I hath burn more than the hottest flames.
Thou hast fallen, the broken shards of my life.
The game of love,
Does who play are all insane.

Thou gentle embrace will melt
My broken steel wings.
Thy softest kiss,
A flame to my brow,
Fire of love,
The warmth of destruction.
