About the truth our heart tries to hide
Oh heart, why does thy lieth to thyself

afraid to admit thy true feelings?

always hiding on a shelf,

in the dark where you can't be seen.

Oh heart, you just keep longing

for true love all the more,

but so afraid to seek it

afraid to just explore.

Oh heart, hiding in the darkness

be true and seek the light,

reach in and grab ahold of truth

be not afraid to fight.

Stop wrestling with the truth

that you already know,

and see the truth within you,

and then just let it go!

Take down that wall you put up

take a look inside and see,

that the truth you buried deep inside,

is longing to be free.

Oh heart, release all your doubts

and let go of all your fears,

before you find that you have wasted

way too many years.

Let go of all the facades

be true to yourself once more,

don't hide behind your wall of lies

but open up the door.

Behind that door stands someone

waiting and wishing for someone like you,

to love them with an open heart

and a heart that's really true!
