                                                                  A Wicked Gathering

                                                              Written by:  A. K.  Pascia

It was a late dark night. The Pelamy University campus was cloudy and dark. Bridgit and Cam pulled up next to the forest trails. Jane Pelamy a famous college legacy had disappeared. and the duo had been sent to find her and rescue or bring her home. When they reached the spot where screams had been reported that night, they exitted their vehicle and search through the woods. Six hooded figures were in a circle inside a grove of trees. THey surrounded a girl kneeling on the ground in front of a fire. She screamed from the closeness of the heat.

The man who stood at the top of the circle brought dirt and threw it onto the girl. As Bridgit trained her vision, she saw that the girl had handcuffs around her wrists with her arms behind her back. Her feet were placed under a rock that was heated by the fire. When his fellow person with a hood stepped forward and poured water on the girl's head. The water didnt land upon the girl; it floated into the bush where Cam and Bridgit were hiding. Bridgit backed away falling, and a twig snapped.

The hooded man with the water pitcher lifted a knife and stabbed the girl who fell back in the fire. All of the circle's occupants turned and headed slowly toward where Bridgit and Cam were hiding. Cam said, "Run Bridgit. Get help."

Before Bridgit could escape, she was thrown down on the ground, her clothing was stripped, and her hands were cuffed behind her back. Rough hands lifted her up and a cloth covered her head and her body. Then there were gravelly rough voices.

      "She should die!"

"But she is so appetizing. She may be the best. Look at her figure, she will be fun to play with. Can't we keep her?"

"Yes, she would be enjoyable. But she belongs to our master!"

"Handle her with care. She will be the flower of our castle."

They stood Bridgit up and commanded her to follow them. When she resisted, she turned and saw Cam's lifeless body on the ground, his throat slit. Hands pulled backwards and her screams were silenced by a silk scarf stuffed in her mouth. She fainted when she felt a hand slide in between her legs.

    Chapter One

Smells of jasmine and lilies woke Bridgit from her nightmares. He body was sore and she saw bruises on her belly and upper legs. Bridgit could only imagine what had transpired in her sleep. She tried to sit up but only accomplished a moan.

Where was she? SHe heard the drip drip of of water coming down the wall which by candlelights around her appeared to be rock walls. Was she in a cave or underground? She heard deep sounding footsteps and somewhere a door opened near her .She shut her eyes hoping pretending to be asleep would give her some more time to recover. A hand touched her bruised body and her aching head, whispers ran over the hushed  room, and her body felt restored. She had energy. Before she could sit up though, her face was blindfolded, and the hands that had healed her wounds lifted her into a warm embrace and carried her out of the room, what sounded like hallway went on forever. She could feel the heat of lamps. Her body was still nude. When she finally was allowed to stand on her feet, a dress was pulled down over her head. with long sleeves. Below her eyes the opening in the blindfold revealed she was wearing a white dress.

She felt a second set of hands pull her hands iin front of her. while the first knelt her to the hard rocky floor. Twine wrapped around her wrists and her legs were connected to shackles behind her. Then her blindfold came off. A deep voice said, " So you are the one who has come to be our destruction!"
