written after someone I love tore my heart out
Will you lick the blood off the blade when you pull it from my heart
did you stab it because you hate me or is it something inside tearing you apart
so you lash out at me in anger and pain
because you have to have someone to blame
we are both to blame, but neither at fault
it is our lessons that are being taught
who we are, who we want to be
what it is we let other people see
I won't tell you what to choose
you have to roll your dice, win or loose
just like I have to play my hand
and start drawing lines in the sand
all I ask for is honesty and truth and I believe all that you said
because I know it was coming from your heart and not your head
those words you typed that were so cruel and mean
could you say them to my face
I don't believe you could and that is your saving grace
choose your words more wisely next time you lash out
because some people will take it personally without a doubt
and the cycle will continue with this anger and hate
until one day you feel like it is too late
