Nothing, human or not, can survive without nurture...
This life is the last leaf
Fragile and clinging to the frozen branch.
It cannot survive the winter,
Another pang of cold, the blackened atmosphere,
Yet the horizon is sure to soon arrive.
And the leaf shall fail...
There's a change this winter
For the sun has appeared, the
Warmth of it's glowing soul, alive.
The existence of these two identities together,
Until neither one remain; one shall not leave the other.
With you, the golden sun,
Me, the dying last leaf,
Together can survive another winter
When the haunting past returns.
