In books I find my best ideas.
Brutal Splendor and Malevolence ...

A slave will either hate the master and love his brother, or be devoted to the master and loath man's ways. So it would seem that no one can serve two masters, which I take to mean that it's impossible to serve both wealth and God.

In books I find my best ideas, like the idea that bad creates even more bad and good begets great good. I think I must have read that somewhere because it's far too simple to be my own original thought?

‘Accept the result to reduce the tumult'. That was some Golf magazine's advice. Plainly stated, it's always about the next stroke and not ever about the last one while the ball is still in play. ‘In life, there are very few second chances'. `O.K., that last bit is not from a book, it was from a movie called "PAYCHECK". Hmmm?

The ONE who wins my heart is going to have to put up at least a little fight to win me over by showing me how much she really wants me. That's malevolent perhaps, but then it is sort of about my own self-worth. From - GOBLET of FIRE: ‘Sometimes the hardest choice we ever make is between doing what is right and what is easy'. Oh, there is even more: ‘What if there is no nothing' like Harry Potter asks us in his several books?

T.S. Eliot said: ‘The end is where we start from' while Johnny Cash said: ‘I'm `gonna break my rusty cage and run'. You either have to know what you really want and go after it or you should accept what you already have and be satisfied, in order to create some happiness, ... which is of course -‘just another one of those things that money can't buy'. Who said that the first time? I don't know, but absolutely anyone can take credit, if you say so.

I'm not sure you can always see good intentions, but I do think you can always feel them; the ‘good' ones anyway. They are always overflowing with strong feelings. Those bad intentions leave room for huge openings and some indifference ... well, I guess that's another story. No words spoken can place the blame on me. Notice my sense of absence, or look into my eyes that seem to stare at nothing, as if there was really something that they might find behind your splendid mask? Only with thine eyes do we see the truth being shielded. There is no real reward for the wicked, while faith manifests each of our desires, both the good and the bad.

When you listen to the wind long enough, you can hear your own past rewind. That's the call of the open road or what some say is the call of the wild. Concede that ‘we have no choice, when we hear that voice' said the Snow Leopards at the top of the mountain where Hunter S. Thompson is still wandering in a realm far above us mere mortals. I know that you know me. All the promises I've made and broken and my old rope that is frayed, with all its knots untied. Yes, the young lion and the old dragon can both be trampled.

Longer life should be our only goal.

ABSENCE of SATISFACTORY TRANSLATION

A strange 'transparent presence' of contained power that's like a manifestation of some grasped reality that's as dew on grass too soon gone with the morning sun, for reasons I'm only now beginning to understand. I stand up and leave my seat to wander toward other realms; in ignorance of the clouded sky above. `Except that those men in the street must know something that I would wish to know. They all seem to have direction; to be headed somewhere. Religion and Science must have more in common than we think.

Again I found myself, lost in another walking meditation. What merit will there be? No Holiness? Only a vast emptiness that is so full of 'as.it.is' present moment. It is a mystery without more understanding even if it is offering no judgment of any kind. Nothing leaves nothing to identify, label or interpret. It is a great and simple ONENESS I know not of ... or so I believe. In Him' there must be the most fundamental faith of all religions, and yet it seems to be full to the brim with complete impermanence. Nothing can remain perfected that isn't allowed to become; still I'm knowing full well that 'everything must change' is, as a God given constant.

Of course, there might also be other exceptions ... like separation, integrity, one's own gratitude or our collective and individual free will? Why, if all this is there presently; must we be constantly tempted and tested?

I shall think on this some more. Could you help me within your review?
