nature is not sympathetic to its enemies
THE LAND OF DREAMERS

I walk with anticipation.

The green forest looms before me.

The others lead.

I lag behind, thinking of

the thousand impending disasters .

The leaves move and let me pass.

I know for sure,

that they take their time

before the final victory.

Trees become smooth lest they will scratch

The bodies who intent on their expedition

In an unknown terrain.

The Mammoth just bends its head

not to scare us;

As letting know

More chilling things are yet to come.

A firefly spreads its glow,

guides us  to the deep .

The creeper with green and red berries climbs high

when one tries to pluck one.

So many caretakers, I wonder why?

The mist blurs  our vision

We walk ;

guns tight in our hands.

Through the mist

an open land meets us.

The one behind me

has found his voice at last.

contradictory to my sight

My senses advice me vehemently

‘Beware you fool’

We sit and our guns take a rest.

Then only we see

With a malicious glee,

The entire forest

Is coming closer.

We wait for them,

For who can kill a tree

or a creeper with a gun?
